Why Become a Delegate at Caucus?
Attending caucus and convention is the single most important thing you can do to ensure Marvina can represent you, North Minneapolis, in City Hall!
What is The DFL Caucus Night?
A DFL precinct caucus is a gathering of neighbors who discuss policy issues, organize their local party unit, and elect delegates to endorse DFL candidates. This also serves as a great opportunity to meet new friends and neighbors. Ward 4 Minneapolis City Council candidate Marvina Haynes is seeking the DFL endorsement and this is the first step in getting her elected.

What to do if You Have a Scheduling Conflict on Caucus Night
Minnesota Statutes 202A.19 allows Minnesota residents to take time off work without pay, as long a written notice is given to their employer at least 10 days in advance. Public schools, state universities, and community colleges may not hold classes or events after 6:00 p.m. on the evening of precinct caucuses. School boards, state agencies, city councils, county boards, township boards, and all other political subdivisions may not conduct meetings after 6:00 p.m. on caucus night.
If time off work or other commitments are not an option, you can still serve as a delegate through a non-attendee form, emailed to you before the day of caucus--April 8th. This form still allows you to fit the commitments you may already have due to life while supporting Marvina in one of the first big steps toward getting her elected.
